Frontman Ryan Sean, hailing from Long Island, NY has seen two different sides of music scene for most of his life. Having toured across the U.S. (performing over 300 venues with the likes of Paramore, The All American Rejects, Cartel, OAR, Jack’s Mannequin, Trapt, Edison Glass and more…) as the founding member of Buffalo based “Colors in the Air” or the bassist for the Republic of Wolves, Ryan has surely seen the stage through musician’s eyes. But not to his dismay, the long nights turned into lyric-fests and countless hours without sleep fueled the production of raw and energetic performances. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment on tour. “Might as well do it while we’re young, right?” Says the charismatic frontman.
Today, the ambient, indie-rock duo, GIVEN HUMAN ATTRIBUTES certainly has no shortage of raw energy. Joined by friend and fellow music-enthusiast Scott Byrne (Guitars, Vox, Production), the duo have the metaphorical tools in their tool shed to surprise listeners, in an attempt to woo hearts and please the senses. Expressing heartfelt lyrics and the desire to make each guitar riff more unique then the last, GHA has taken notes from recent success stories The Black Keys and heavily influenced MGMT to create a sound all their own. If you get the chance to see them perform you’ll be pleased by the refreshingly unique similarity between their acoustic and electric sets, while they showcase tasteful diversity and energy that keeps crowds engaged.
Gearing up for the highly anticipated release of their first album entitled “Critical Mass”, GHA has been reaching out to the world with other releases, such as “A Little Bit Of Everything”. Partnering with a non-profit organization (Citizen Effect), the band has been raising money over a 10-week campaign to support Relief Efforts in Japan.
And with plans of a tour to follow the release “No venue is too small”, as Ryan explains. “As long as you have someone to enjoy the music with that’s all that really matters, because at the end of the day all we really want is someone to share our adventures with. At least that’s what I’d like to believe.”
